With world mental health day coming up l just wanted to create a topic to open the conversation about mental health.
Personally I'm in a pretty good place.
About 18 months ago I stopped drinking alcohol and started focusing on my health. It's done me the world of good.
Last week in Poland my mental strength with regards to booze was tested to the full. I was with my boss, client and colleagues in boozy situations for three nights.
We hit some bars and I had non-alcoholic Zywiecz. Decent it was too. Not drinking means I'll go out running which is when I get to empty my mind.
For a long time I didn’t really have an answer to every day stresses other than booze. Which ultimately led to poor dietary choices and weight gain and me ultimately feeling bad about myself.
